The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden will launch a $50 limited-edition Kusama Circle annual membership Monday, Feb. 13 to celebrate the opening of “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” (Feb. 23–May 14), the first major exhibition to feature six of the Japanese artist’s immersive Infinity Mirror Rooms. The year-long membership offers immediate access to the exhibition, while supporting the Hirshhorn’s groundbreaking free exhibitions and public programs.

Free timed passes will be required to visit “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors,” a first for the Hirshhorn. Kusama Circle members and a guest will be able to visit the exhibition anytime and enter the members’ line without reserving a free timed pass. Members also enjoy a discount on Yayoi Kusama books, artist-inspired apparel and décor at the Museum shop. For more information or to join, visit hirshhorn.si.edu/join.

“The generous support of members and donors makes it possible for us to present exciting exhibitions such as “Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors” and its accompanying enrichment programs free for all,” said Hirshhorn deputy director Elizabeth Duggal. “By offering this new Kusama Circle membership, we hope to welcome even more people into the Hirshhorn’s energetic community, filled with enthusiastic fans of leading-edge art, culture and ideas.”

Free Timed Passes for opening weekend (Feb. 23–Feb. 27) will be released online Monday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. for Hirshhorn e-news subscribers and at noon for the public. After that, passes will continue to be released online every Monday at noon for the subsequent week. A limited number of same-day walk-up passes will be available at the museum starting Feb. 23.

The Hirshhorn has recruited more than 120 new volunteers and visitor attendants—triple the current number—to welcome and guide visitors during the exhibition. The museum will also offer a pop-up coffee bar run by local Washington, D.C., coffee shop Dolcezza Coffee & Gelato, a heated outdoor visitor facility and expanded free lockers, along with a mobile-friendly exhibition website.
