Artist, designer, and American University assistant professor Yana Sakellion on Antonio Rovaldi’s video work Opening Day.
As a designer and an artist, Yana Sakellion works in video and interactive media. Her practice takes an interdisciplinary approach to conceptual inquiry, placing special emphasis on interactive storytelling. She earned an honorary MFA from the Department of Digital + Media at the Rhode Island School of Design, and her work has been exhibited and published nationally and abroad, appearing in the How Magazine Interactive Design Annual; the International Contemporary and Video Art Festival Waterpieces, Riga, Latvia; and the Oslo Screen Festival. She is an assistant professor of graphic design at American University.
