Shirin Neshat portraitShirin Neshat discusses her work in conjunction with the opening of Shirin Neshat: Facing History. Based in New York, the artist creates photographs, films, and video installations that explore power and identity in the Islamic world—particularly in her native country of Iran, where she lived until 1975. Commenting on freedom and loss, Neshat’s deeply humanistic art is at once personal, political, and allegorical. Join us for the latest evening in the Museum’s ongoing Meet the Artist series.

Admission is free. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
