Presenting a broader, more international history of Surrealist sculpture, senior curator Valerie Fletcher reflects on the contents and curatorial rationale of the exhibition Marvelous Objects: Surrealist Sculpture from Paris to New York. This exhibition, based on her unprecedented research, presents a dialogue between the two quite different trends of biomorphism and found-object assemblages, and also unites previously disparate artists working in London, Paris, and New York.
