The Hirshhorn is many things, but we are nothing without you.
Becoming a Hirshhorn Insider means joining a community of change-makers, of movers and shakers coming together to celebrate the transformative power of modern and contemporary art. Hirshhorn Insiders are at the center of the Museum’s radical mission—and this is fun! Insiders unlock an all-access pass to art up close while providing support for innovative exhibitions and public programs that inspire more than 1 million visitors a year. From meeting artists at exclusive previews to advance event registration, becoming an Insider will bring you closer to the artists and ideas of our time.
How to Give the Gift of Membership
You will be asked to enter your gift recipient’s information during checkout, however we will not contact them. A gift voucher will immediately be emailed to you which you can give to your recipient to activate. Your recipient may activate their membership at any time.
Each Hirshhorn Insider membership is tied to a unique email address as all event registrations will be confirmed via email.

Each Hirshhorn Insider membership must be tied to a unique email address. If you are an Insider and wish to purchase a gift membership, you must enter a different email address at checkout then the one associated with your personal Insider profile. Insiders receive the following benefits for two people for one year:
Hirshhorn Insider: FRIEND – $100 ($100 tax-deductible)
- Early Bird Access: First-to-reserve privilege for up to two people to select public programs such as artist talks, film and music festivals, and special performances. Access to the member seating section as available.
- Exclusive Invites: Registration for up to two people for member-only events such as exhibition previews and Insider get-togethers. Special member pricing for ticketed Hirshhorn fundraisers such as the Hirshhorn Ball on Sept. 21, 2024.
- Connection: Hirshhorn Highlights monthly email. Members are the first to know.
- Discounts: 10% discount at Museum’s Dolcezza Café and the Hirshhorn and Smithsonian Museum shops with presentation of Hirshhorn Insider card.
- OSGEMEOS Exhibition Preview: Passes for up to two (2) people to preview OSGEMEOS: Endless Story and Basquiat × Banksy, Sept. 22-28 in advance of the public opening Sept. 29.
Hirshhorn Insider: ENTHUSIAST – $250 ($190 tax-deductible)
Everything above, plus:
- Registration for up to four (4) people for select public programs and member only-events.
- OSGEMEOS Exhibition Preview: Passes for up to six (6) people to preview OSGEMEOS: Endless Story and Basquiat × Banksy, Sept. 22-28 in advance of the public opening Sept. 29.
Hirshhorn Insider: CONNECTOR – $500 ($400 tax-deductible)
Everything above, plus:
- Registration for up to six (6) people to select public programs and member only-events.
- Two (2) invitations to a meet-and-greet with featured guests at select programs (artist talks, films, performances).
- OSGEMEOS Exhibition Preview: Passes for up to eight (8) people to preview OSGEMEOS: Endless Story and Basquiat × Banksy, Sept. 22-28 in advance of the public opening Sept. 29.
- Discounts: Free subscription to Smithsonian Magazine; 10% discount at the Hirshhorn’s Dolcezza Café and 20% discounts (on single purchases up to $200) at the Hirshhorn and Smithsonian Museum shops with presentation of Hirshhorn Insider card.
Hirshhorn Insider: GLOBAL ARTS COUNCIL – $2,500 ($2,275 tax-deductible)
Everything above, plus:
- Registration for up to eight (8) people to select public programs and member only-events.
- Four (4) invitations to a meet-and-greet with featured guests at select programs (artist talks, films, performances).
- Concierge service and priority access to OSGEMEOS: Endless Story and Basquiat × Banksy through an assigned Advancement contact.
- One complimentary exhibition catalog of our choice (upon request).
