Art Cart: Suspend a Sculpture
May 4, 2023 | 10:00 am–12:00 pm

Have you ever heard the word suspended? Suspend means to hang something (like a light or a fan from the ceiling). Artist Eva Hesse liked to think outside the box and she came up with the idea to suspend a sculpture. She called the work Vertiginous Detour. At this week’s Art Cart, young artists will be able to see her sculpture and then suspend their own works of art.
Find the Art Cart on the Third Level to pick up your suspension materials.
Make art at home! Explore how artist Jiha Moon paints water in our Layered Landscapes project. Instructions here.
