The Art Cart is surrounded by Barbara Kruger's Belief + Doubt in the Lower Level.

How are you feeling? Find the Art Cart in the Lobby and pick up materials for making your own portrait. Young artists will explore the work Draw the Curtain, by Nicolas Party, and make their own self-portraits expressing an emotion.

Do this at home! Transform a rock into a colorful work of art inspired by Pablo Picasso’s vibrant and expressive portraits. Create.

Until we can gather for Storytime again, the Art Cart offers young artists themed sets of materials. Each week’s Art Cart offers a fresh and fun theme featuring an artwork on view, an art making activity to do at the Museum, and kids projects to extend the fun at home! The Art Cart is free, no registration required. Every Thursday, 10 am–12 pm

Stroller Parking is available on the Lower Level.

Help keep each other safe and healthy! Review Smithsonian health and safety guidelines before your visit.
