Have you ever seen a work of art that covers an entire room (even the floors!)? Get inspired by artist Barbara Kruger at this week’s Art Cart! Find us on the Lower Level and pick up your collage materials. Young artists will take a close look at Kruger’s work, Belief+Doubt, and then make their own collages using paper, string, and more!

Do this at home!  Print and repeat! This project uses cut and carved fruit and vegetables to create colorful prints inspired by artist Andy Warhol. Create.

An array of colorfully painted flowers on small white pieces of paper spread out on a newspaper. The piece in the middle features a dark blue background and bright orange flowers. Three heart stencils appear below the floral artworks.

Until we can gather for Storytime again, the Art Cart offers young artists themed sets of materials. Each week’s Art Cart offers a fresh and fun theme featuring an artwork on view, an art making activity to do at the Museum, and kids projects to extend the fun at home! The Art Cart is free; no registration required. Every Thursday, 10 am–12 pm.

Stroller Parking is available on the Lower Level.

Help us stay safe and healthy! Review Smithsonian health and safety guidelines before your visit.
