Can an artwork depict love? Join us for a special Valentine’s Day program, in ASL! We will look at the large photo print Untitled (for Jeff) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres and read Love by Matt de la Peña. Following the story, we’ll create our own works for a friend or loved one. EYE TO EYE: STORYTIME in ASL is for the Deaf community. Visitors who are hearing may request an interpreter, with one week’s advance notice.
EYE TO EYE: STORYTIME in ASL is for the Deaf Community, and explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week STORYTIME features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Visitors who are hearing may request an interpreter, with one week’s advance notice. Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
