The Ugly American Film

Running time: 120 minutes

With a critical eye on mid-century American diplomacy, and more broadly on the difficulties of cultural translation, The Ugly American raises important questions about reading politics from a distance and shines a light on the need for constant review of relationships with other cultures. This film was selected by artist Rirkrit Tiravanija to accompany the exhibition Rirkrit Tiravanija: (who’s afraid of red, yellow, and green).

Seating in Ring Auditorium is first-come, first-served.
