STORYTIME: For Freedoms
December 1, 2019 | 11:00 am–12:00 pm

Join us for a special STORYTIME exploring kindness. We’ll look at the work For Freedoms by Hank Willis Thomas and Emily Shur, a reimagining of Norman Rockwell’s Four Freedoms. After a reading Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña, stay and make your own artwork to take home.
STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
An ASL interpreter may be requested for this program with one week’s advance notice. Contact mcgettigant@si.edu.
