MAKER MORNING: Colorful Characters

Come as your most creative self and join our costume parade! Don’t have a costume? Make your own at one of our hands-on activity stations. Become a Futurist flower, use circuitry to make a light-up character, and explore Pat Steir: Color Wheel through an interactive, kid-friendly tour!
Kids and adults of all ages are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Lobby and on the Lower Level of the Museum. This program is free. No reservations or tickets required.
Costumes are encouraged, but please no large appendages or weapons.

MAKER MORNING is the Hirshhorn’s free series that invites kids of all ages to experience contemporary art through interactive hands-on making activities, held on the first Saturday of each month, 10 am-1 pm. Keep coming back! Each month will introduce a new topic and a completely new way to think about art.
