During the darkest month of the year, brighten up your weekends at the Hirshhorn! Makers of all ages are welcome to join us at MAKER MORNINGS: Illuminate as we explore the exhibition Rafael Lozano-Hemmer: Pulse through hands-on activities.

Every Saturday in December, you and your young artists can:

  • Create and take home an illustration of your family’s heartbeat using biometric technology;
  • Play with light and shadows;
  • Make a paper luminary to take home or give as a gift;
  • Explore a library of art-themed books.

Keep an eye out for special one-time programs happening as part of MAKER MORNINGS:

December 8 | 10 am–1 pm

December 15 | 10 am–1 pm
