STORYTIME: Moonbear’s Shadow
December 8, 2019 | 11:00 am–12:00 pm

Shadows are everywhere! Join us for an exploration of how our shadows interact with the work of artist Lee Ufan. Following a read-aloud of Moonbear’s Shadow by Frank Asch, stay and play with flashlights and other light sources. Explore the shadows you can make using your body and the space around you
STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
An ASL interpreter may be requested for this program with one week’s advance notice. Contact mcgettigant@si.edu.
