Child in the galleries. Photo by Erin Schaff

Brr… It’s getting cold outside! As the weather changes, join us for a delightfully snowy trip to the moon with Bear. We will look at a painting by Zao Wou-Ki, read Mooncake by Frank Asch, and create our own art inspired by Bear’s adventures.

STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.

Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.

ASL interpretation will be provided for this program.
