Baby in What Absence is Made Of

Join us for a special evening edition of STORYTIME, then stay for all the Autumn Evenings festivities. This STORYTIME features an action-packed exploration of Jackson Pollock’s unique painting style. We’ll take a close look at his painting Tiger, read Action Jackson by Jan Greenberg, and make our own works using large body movements

STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.

Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
