STORYTIME: The Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything
October 30, 2019 | 10:00 am–11:00 am

Boo! As Halloween approaches, join us for an encounter with the sculpture Post-Balzac, by Judith Shea. We will read aloud The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda D. Williams and create our own ghostly sculptures. Costumes are encouraged, but please no large appendages or weapons.
STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
ASL interpretation will be provided for this program.
