STORYTIME: Sun Rays on Winter Days
January 8, 2020 | 10:00 am–11:00 am

“I gather sun rays for the cold dark winter days,” says Frederick, the title character of Leo Lionni’s children’s book. Join us for an exploration of artful thinking and hope, as we explore sunny colors in works on view, and create our own warm works of art to inspire us through the winter.
STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
ASL interpretation will be provided for this program
