Children in gallery with craft project

What do you do with an idea? Join us for an exploration of works by Marcel Duchamp, an artist and radical thinker who led the way in creating art based on ideas. We will read What Do You Do with an Idea by Kobi Yamada. Following the story, we’ll get creative by making works inspired by our own wonderful ideas!

STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.

Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.

ASL interpretation will be provided for this program.
