STORYTIME: Where the Wind Blows
February 19, 2020 | 10:00 am–11:00 am

Escape the blustery weather and warm up inside the Hirshhorn! Join us for a close look at the painting Painted on 21st Street by Helen Frankenthaler and a reading of A Page in the Wind. We’ll explore perspective and the many possibilities for a single object.
STORYTIME explores contemporary art through stories and movement. Each week features a fresh and fun theme. Bring your littlest art lover for an introduction to an artist on view, interactive read aloud, and a hands-on activity.
Nursing moms are welcome. Stroller parking is available in the Hirshhorn Lobby and Lower Level. Groups of 10 or more should contact mcgettigant@si.edu to reserve a program in advance. Please note: snacks are not allowed inside museum galleries, but you may eat outside on our Plaza, or in the ground floor lobby and cafe before or after the program.
ASL interpretation will be provided for this program.
