Selections from the Collection of Marion and Gustave Ring

On view were 50 works – 26 paintings, 12 sculptures, 11 works on paper, and one mixed-media work – by 38 artists, including Degas, Monet, Redon, Bonnard, Kirchner, Nolde, Barlach, Davis, Hofmann, Stella, Chagall, and others. The collection was on loan from the children of the late Gustave and Marion Ring; Mrs. Ring was a docent at the Hirshhorn and chairman of tour guides at the Kennedy Center.
