Members receive a confirmation email from eTix with their preview passes. These are valid anytime during museum hours on the selected day. Members walk in!

General Admission Timed Passes
September 29, 2024–August 3, 2025
All visitors, regardless of age, must have a pass to enter the exhibition. Starting Sept. 6, free timed passes will be distributed online three weeks in advance on a rolling basis. Visitors over the age of 13 can reserve up to six timed passes.
Passes are not required to enter the Museum or to experience other exhibitions on view.

Why do I need a pass to see the exhibition?
With almost 1,000 objects on display, this exhibition has limited capacity. Free passes are required to ensure as many people as possible can safely experience it.

All visitors, regardless of age, must have a pass to enter the exhibition.
Arrival and Entry
Will there be long lines?
We anticipate that this will be a popular experience. Upon arrival, all bags must be checked by security. For ease of entry and comfort in the galleries, we encourage all visitors to our museum to travel as lightly as possible. Backpacks and large bags are not recommended.
Please arrive at the exhibition entrance on level 3 within 10 minutes of your time slot. There may be a short wait to enter the exhibition. A Hirshhorn staff member will check your pass and welcome you when you arrive at the exhibition entrance.

Can I arrive early or stay late?
Visitors are welcome to arrive early or remain at the museum after experiencing OSGEMEOS: Endless Story to explore other exhibitions and works on view, browse one-of-a-kind selections at our museum shop on the lower level, or enjoy locally sourced and handcrafted gelato and drinks available at our lobby café.
Time inside the exhibition is not limited but is subject to museum hours.
Can I see the exhibition more than once?
Yes, but you will have to get a new pass each time. Your pass allows entry to the exhibition once, on the day (members) and time (general admission) printed on your pass.

Are there interactive artworks or anything I can touch in this exhibition?
No. Help protect the artwork for future visitors! Please keep a safe distance from the art as you navigate the galleries and do not touch the artwork.
Can I take pictures?
Yes. You may take pictures without flash for personal use. Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks, however, may not be used. Share your images with @hirshhorn!

What should I bring?
Please bring your pass. Pack lightly for ease of entry and comfort in the galleries. Please leave large bags and backpacks at home. All visitor items are subject to security check. Learn more about restricted items.
Food and drink are prohibited in the Hirshhorn Museum galleries. Locally sourced and handcrafted gelato and drinks are available at our lobby café. Please enjoy food and drink on the lobby/plaza level of the museum only.
Are strollers allowed in the exhibition?
Strollers are allowed in the exhibition galleries and all museum levels are serviced by elevator. Stroller parking is available on the lower level of the museum.

How many passes will be distributed each day?
The number of free passes distributed each day will vary. Nonroutine maintenance of the artworks and other factors may affect pass availability. The museum will distribute the maximum number of passes possible each day while protecting the artworks and preserving the safety and comfort of our visitors.
Can I buy tickets to the exhibition?
Passes for this exhibition are free and are available only from the Hirshhorn Museum. We strongly discourage you from purchasing passes from third parties. Each pass contains a unique barcode that can be used only once. The Hirshhorn Museum and the Smithsonian assume no liability for loss, and entry will not be granted to passholders who have purchased passes from third parties.

Do I need a pass if …
I’m a Smithsonian employee, volunteer, or Smithsonian-affiliated staff?
Smithsonian employees, contractors, interns, volunteers, and other affiliated staff will need to obtain free timed passes and will not be able to access this exhibition using their ID badges. Stay tuned for updates on special staff days and events.
I am an employee of another, non-Smithsonian museum?
Due to the anticipated popularity and limited capacity of this exhibition, it is not possible for the Hirshhorn to guarantee entry to OSGEMEOS: Endless Story to our colleagues from other museums and cultural institutions.
