More than 50 works were exhibited, representing a cross-section of Italian painting and sculpture, primarily from the postwar years. Artists included Medardo Rosso, Amedeo Modigliani, Emilio Greco, brothers Gio and Arnoldo Pomodoro, Lucio Fontana, Piero Dorazio, Giorgio Morandi, Gino Severini, Giacomo Manzù, and Marino Marini.
