Hirshhorn Plaza

This comprehensive exhibition of 102 sculptures and 41 drawings included the American sculptor Elie Nadelman’s (1882–1946) neoclassical works, portraits, decorative pieces, and a group entitled Ideal Heads, in media including wood, bronze, marble, and ceramic. The exhibition was organized by the Whitney Museum of American Art in tandem with the Hirshhorn, which houses one of the most important collections of Nadelman’s work.
