The Hirshhorn pairs with DC’s favorite art party hosts Brightest Young Things to present Ragnaröck: A Hirshhorn Late Night, an evening of music, drinks and contemporary art. This signature after-hours experience is inspired by Ragnar Kjartansson’s spellbinding, poignant, and frequently humorous works, and includes a last-chance opportunity to view the exhibition before it closes Jan. 8 while enjoying open bar cocktails and beer. DJ sets by How To Dress Well, DJ Lisa Frank, and live performances by Cinema Hearts, as well as a special screening of Kjartansson’s collaboration with The National, “A Lot Of Sorrow,” round out the evening. Kjartansson’s monumental performance artwork “Woman in E,” featuring a live musician on a glittering golden pedestal, will run throughout the evening. Tickets and a full list of performers and vendors can be found here.
