The Artist as Culture Producer: Living and Sustaining a Creative Life is a collection of essays by 40 visual artists that examines how artists impact their communities outside of their studios. The selected first-hand accounts demonstrate how contemporary artists of the twenty-first century add society through their creative thinking while also generously contributing to the well-being of others. Although artists are often perceived as being invisible and hidden, the truth is that their work benefitseducation, the non-profit sector, and corporate environments.

Edgar Arceneaux, Zoë Charlton, Tim Doud, and Sharon Louden will come together to discuss the artist’s role as culture producer. In addition to their work as artists, members of the panel have experience educating, editing, and writing.
