In Conversation: The Path to Infinity

Yayoi Kusama’s art has consistently revealed her obsessions as well as the concerns that she has with her own body and mind. For more than 60 years, she has used a variety of media, including performance, installation, painting, and film, to explore themes and ideas that consume her. Kusama’s work has recently seen a resurgence of interest through social media captures of her captivating Infinity Mirror Rooms, mirrored environments that are as photogenic as they are experiential. In conjunction with the exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors, scholars and catalogue contributors Midori Yamamura, Miwako Tezuka, and Gloria Sutton come together to discuss the history and lasting legacy of the artist.
