Kin and Communities
Jun 14–Aug 27, 1977
Mementos, photographs from family albums, paintings, and lithographs depicting occasions of reunion – including weddings, funerals, anniversaries, holidays, and religious events – were the focus of this exhibition. A section on shared meals was included, as well as the means used to record a reunion: cameras, sound equipment, and albums. Featured was a guest book that exhibit visitors could sign; the book was added to the Museum’s reference collections. A picnic table was at the center of the exhibition.
