Acquisitions: 1974–1977

This exhibition highlighted paintings, sculptures, and works on paper acquired for the Hirshhorn’s collection through gifts and purchases during the Museum’s first three years. Included were 120 works by more than 90 artists, including Stuart Davis, Hans Hofmann, William Morris Hunt, Claes Oldenberg, Jules Olitski, Ludwig Sander, and Robert Motherwell.
