Hirshhorn Plaza

Through 79 works by 26 artists, this major exhibition recreated the essence of John Quinn’s (1870–1924) art collection, considered the most important assembled in the US prior to the Great Depression. Artists included Brancusi, Cézanne, Duchamp-Villon, Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, and van Gogh, as well as Braque, Dufy, Prendergast, and Rouault. Organized by the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden from collections in the US and abroad.
