Directed by Leonard Feinstein, Robert Irwin: The Beauty of Questions provides an immersive and enlightening look into the life of light and space artist Robert Irwin, who is the focus of the exhibition Robert Irwin: All the Rules will Change. Filmed over a five-year period, the film follows Irwin along travels to Paris, New York, and LA, and illustrates his deep interest in everything from Coca-Cola to Hegel and from the desert to the racetrack. Throughout the course of the film, viewers watch Robert Irwin reflect on his journey from his early years as a painter to his bold experimentations with light and space sculpture and installations. The film was the Grand Prize recipient at the 6th International Biennale of Films on Art in Paris in 1998.
