Drawings: 1974–1984

This survey exhibition, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Hirshhorn, included some 150 works by 15 American and 15 international artists. Represented in this sampling of some of the period’s aesthetic shifts and concerns were R. B. Kitaj, Hugh O’Donnell, Balthus, Aldo Rossi, Marisol, Jim Dine, Willem de Kooning, Christo, Claes Oldenburg, and Hannsjorg Voth.
